Mixed baskets
A grocery line stalls when the basket mixes barcode packs with loose rice or oil. If the till only expects a printed barcode, the cashier hunts a paper PLU list or types a price by hand. The evening queue gets longer while people wait.
Riser POS is the retail till for a grocery or super shop in Bangladesh. A neighborhood counter starts on Startup at ৳1,000 a month. Plus is ৳2,000 a month for barcode scanning and advanced inventory. Pro is ৳2,500 a month for busy multi-counter shops. Dimdul Ltd installs it nationwide. Support runs from Dhaka HQ, with teams in Chattogram and Cumilla. Prices checked 22 October 2026.
Three places a grocery line fails before the customer has paid.
A grocery line stalls when the basket mixes barcode packs with loose rice or oil. If the till only expects a printed barcode, the cashier hunts a paper PLU list or types a price by hand. The evening queue gets longer while people wait.
Bargaining is the next break. A regular asks to round down five kilograms of rice. If that cut lives in the cashier's head or on scrap paper, the drawer and the till do not agree at night.
Customer dues break on a paper khata. Only one person can read the book. A family member who comes to pay part of the balance cannot see what is still owed. Evening broadband in Dhaka and Chattogram also drops. A till that waits on the internet holds the basket. Riser POS Retail puts barcode lines and open quantity on the same bill, can change a line price when the customer bargains, and can leave a due on a named customer. Billing can continue offline, then sync when the line returns. A café or dining room should use the café guide or restaurant install instead.
Packed barcode goods and loose rice on one bill, part cash and part due.
A regular arrives with a turmeric packet, a bottle of soybean oil, a bag of loose Miniket rice, and a bottle of dishwash liquid. They will pay part in cash and leave the rest on their account until Friday.
The cashier scans the turmeric and the oil. For the rice, they open the Miniket line and enter the open quantity from the scale, for example 5.25 kilograms at the published per-kilo price. The dishwash liquid is scanned last. All four lines sit on one bill.
They take cash for part of the total and assign the remainder to the customer's named account. The receipt shows what was paid and what is still due. Stock moves with the sale: packs by count, rice by the quantity entered. Ask on the demo whether a low-stock alert should fire when rice falls below the shop's own threshold. The day's report uses those records: what was sold, cash and mobile banking taken, and dues still open. If broadband drops during the evening, the Android or Windows till can still close the bill and sync when the connection returns. Confirm that with the scanner and the printer Dimdul will install.

Startup at ৳1,000 a month is the small neighborhood counter. The published plan includes up to 2 users, up to 200 products, up to 15 categories, core billing and inventory, and standard support. That covers barcode lines, loose quantity, dues, receipts, and offline selling for a compact catalog.
Plus at ৳2,000 a month is the growing grocery or mini-super. It includes up to 4 users, up to 500 products, up to 30 categories, advanced inventory, and barcode scanning support. Advanced inventory is where purchases, supplier dues, and low-stock alerts sit on the retail page. Year one on Plus, before hardware, is the example the pricing page prints: ৳2,000 × 12 + ৳5,000 install = ৳29,000.
Pro at ৳2,500 a month is for larger shops: up to 10 users, 1,500 products, 50 categories, multi-register support, and priority support. Multi-register is for two or more counters sharing the same catalog. A single counter usually stops at Startup or Plus.
