Dealer offline POS on Android means the till can still close a counter sale when broadband drops, then sync those bills when the connection returns. On Riser POS Dealer that is the same billing flow the desk uses online, confirmed on the tablet and printer Dimdul installs for your route or godown counter.
For plans and the full desk, start at dealer management software. Sibling guides cover the party statement, stock adjustment, dealer accounting, and distributor management. A dining room that needs offline billing during load-shedding should read Dimdul’s offline restaurant POS guide instead.
Why the Android till must keep billing
Evening broadband in Dhaka and Chattogram drops while a shop is still waiting for cartons. A till that freezes holds the van and the shopkeeper. The dealer desk already bills outlets, holds party dues, and prints statements when the line is up. Offline Android billing is the same sale when the line is down—record the bill, then sync later.
Line up vs line down on the dealer counter
| Situation | Cloud-only till | Android offline billing |
|---|---|---|
| Broadband drops mid-sale | Clerk waits or writes a paper slip | Sale closes on the Android till; syncs when the line returns |
| Partial cash on the route | No receipt until the office reconnects | Bill and due can still be recorded offline on the tablet |
| Party statement for tomorrow | Ledger may miss the paper slips | Synced bills land on the shared ledger; print the statement when online |
| Stock adjustment or godown report | Depends on a live connection | Post adjustments and reports when staff can reach those screens after sync |
How to bill on Android when broadband drops
Run the same sequence Dimdul shows on install so the clerk does not invent a second paper process when the icon shows no network.
- Keep the Android till signed in. Use the tablet Dimdul set up for the counter or route before the line drops.
- Select the party and lines. Open the registered outlet and add the cartons or loose quantity leaving the godown, the same way you bill online.
- Close the bill offline. Take the cash or leave the due on the party and finish the sale on the Android till without waiting for broadband.
- Print the receipt if the printer is local. Confirm on install that the thermal printer still prints when the tablet has no internet.
- Sync when the line returns. When broadband or mobile data returns, let the till sync so the shared desk shows the same bills and dues.
This page covers billing only. Print the party statement and post stock adjustments when the desk can reach those screens again. Confirm the offline demo with the hardware Dimdul will install.
